How do I segment activity by member type?
Charts show engagement broken down by member type (e.g, prospective, admitted, and deposited students). To see how specific member types, such as admitted students, are engaging with content, you can segment your dashboard view by member role. Doing this allows you to see how members are engaging with content based on where they are in their college journey. This will help you focus content strategy around audience type.
To segment activity by member type:
- Use the key to identify member types available and their associated color. Member types will reflect your site's configuration.
- Under Community Join Table (In Date Range) or Percent Members Joining Specific Communities (This Year), click on the section of the bar graph relevant to the member type you want to focus on (for example, if you want to view admitted student data, click on the purple bar chart)
- The Ambassador Dashboard view will now populate data for the selected member type only. To confirm, you should see the "Member Role" listed in the upper right-hand corner
Note: Click the "X" in top-right to release the view and go back to the main Community Metrics page.
